Can I use the TapRack with the Ignik FireCan and other portable firepits?Updated 20 days ago
Yes. The Ignik TapRack can be used as a portable propane supply for the FireCan—and it’s also compatible with many QCC-1 appliances (the common connection used on 5–20 lb propane tanks).
When you run an appliance from the TapRack, you’re drawing from multiple 15.5 oz refillable propane bottles at once. This gives you the flexibility of using several smaller bottles together to power appliances that typically need a larger propane source (like fire pits and other more “fuel-hungry” setups).
Important: Using the TapRack does not increase an appliance’s BTU output beyond its design—it simply provides more total fuel and can support longer runtimes.
You can also use bottles individually
Each Ignik 15.5 oz refillable propane bottle can also be used by itself with many smaller appliances that typically run on standard 1 lb “green” bottles.

Quick tips
Make sure all connections are hand-tight and secure before use.
Use the TapRack upright and operate propane appliances outdoors in a well-ventilated area.
After use, shut off propane at the appliance first, then close the TapRack main valve.
