Will the lighter work at high altitude?

Like most torch-style lighters, the Ignik refillable lighter will not work optimally at very high altitudes. Above an altitude of about 7,000' you will likely see a decrease in performance, and above 9-10,000' the lighter may not work at all. Your exact results may vary, as humidity and other conditions will also play a factor in determining the exact performance of the lighter at altitude.

For optimal and dependable performance at high altitudes we suggest using a wheel-style lighter (think Bic or Zippo), or good old fashioned matches.
