What is compatible with Ignik refillable propane bottles (stoves, heaters, etc.)?Updated 23 days ago

Ignik 15.5 oz refillable propane bottles are designed to work with most propane appliances made for the standard 1 lb disposable “green” propane bottles.

These bottles use the common 1”-20 UNEF (CGA600) threaded valve found on typical 1 lb propane cylinders, so they can fuel many popular camping and outdoor propane products.

Works with most appliances that use 1 lb propane bottles

Examples include:

  • Camping stoves (tabletop / camp stoves)

  • Portable propane heaters

  • Lanterns

  • Small propane grills

  • Propane torch heads designed for 1-lb cylinders

If your appliance manual says it uses a 16 oz. propane cylinder or references CGA600 / 1”-20 thread, it will be compatible.

How to check compatibility (quick and easy)

Look for any of these in the product listing or owner’s manual:

  • 1 lb propane cylinder

  • disposable propane bottle

  • CGA600

  • 1”-20 UNEF thread

If you’re unsure, send Ignik Support the brand + model of your appliance and we can help you confirm.

May NOT be compatible with

  • Backpacking stoves that use isobutane/butane canisters (the small metal canisters with a different valve style)

  • Appliances that do not use propane (butane-only, white gas, natural gas connections, etc.)

  • Appliances with tight shrouds/guards around the bottle connection (some designs don’t have enough clearance for certain bottle shapes)

Tip: If clearance is the issue, many users solve it by using a hose/regulator accessory designed for 1-lb propane appliances (when compatible with the appliance).

Important notes

  • These bottles are for propane only.

  • Always follow your appliance manufacturer’s instructions for safe use and ventilation.

Want to run bigger “QCC-1” appliances too?

You can also use these same 15.5 oz refillable bottles with the Ignik TapRack to power many larger, more fuel-hungry appliances (like fire pits and other QCC-1 connections).
