How do I refill the TapRack and Pounder?

If some of my bottles are empty, but not all, can I still get them filled?

Yes! Even if you only have one or two empty bottles, you can still attach them to the TapRack and have them filled without having to worry about overfilling your already full bottles.

Can I use the TapRack with a FireCan?

Yes, you can connect to the TapRack to use multiple Pounder bottles at once, harnessing more heating power to be used with appliances like firepits that require a larger propane source.

Can I attach other 1lb bottles to the TapRack and refill them?

Not only is it unsafe and illegal to attempt to refill single use 1lb bottles, you cannot connect any other propane bottles to the TapRack outside of the Ignik Pounders due to our quarter turn connector on the TapRack valves. This also means the Poun

You can go to any propane location that offers propane refilling to get your Pounders refilled using the TapRack refilling device. Since this is a new product, some fillers may not want to fill the pounders as they may not be familiar with it, so be

What can I use the Pounder bottles with?

Ignik Pounder bottles are gas cylinders with a standard valve and 1”-20UNEF thread on the top of the bottle. They provide fuel for camping stoves, lanterns & heaters that use the typical 1lb single use green bottles that we are accustomed to.

Can I fill a Pounder bottle at home without the Taprack?

While the answer is technically yes, this is not what the Pounder bottles were built for so we do not recommend it. We also cannot provide support or information on how to fill at home.

Does the TapRack have an OPD Valve?

Due to the limitations of the structure, there is no OPD valve inside the TapRack, but each Pounder bottle has a bleeder port that will pop open and release gas to prevent overfilling.

How do I recycle the Pounder bottles?

First, open bleeder valve or remove the PRV valve on the bottle. Second, empty the gas & liquid in the inside of bottle. Third, recycle the pounder bottle material.

When I place an empty bottle back on the Taprack, the other bottles lose pressure. Is this normal?

All bottles are connected when they are on the TapRack, so some pressure will go out from a full bottle to an empty bottle, equalizing the pressure between them. For this reason, once a bottle is emptied, we do not recommend placing it back on the Ta
